build ....but it sure did make history.

Joseph Warshawsky, 33º, I.G.H. 

Joseph Warshawsky, son of Harry A. and Estelle S. Warshawsky, was born January 29, 1927, in New York City, NY, and moved to Greenfield, MA, in 1939.  He has been married to the former Wanda Grabczak since December 22, 1953, and they have two sons.  He received a Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering Degree from the University of Massachusetts on June 3, 1951, and was employed as an Electrical Engineer for a number of firms until he retired.  He is a veteran of World War II and served in the 313th Combat Engineering Battalion, 88th Infantry Division.

  

He was raised in Thomas M. Reed Lodge No. 225, Seattle, WA, on February 24, 1954.  On September 3, 1994, he affiliated with Kyle Lodge No. 422 as a Dual Member with Thomas M. Reed Lodge No. 225.  He became a member of Occidental Lodge No. 72, Seattle, WA, when it merged with Thomas M. Reed Lodge No. 225 on May 12, 1999.  As a result of the merger, he became a Dual Member of Kyle Lodge No. 422 and Occidental Lodge No. 72.  In 1997, he served as Worshipful Master of Kyle Lodge in 1997.  He served the Grand Lodge of Tennessee as Chairman of the Correspondence Committee from March 1998 to March 2008.

  

He became a 32º Mason with the Charleston, WV, Scottish Rite Bodies on October 26, 1974.   In January 1980, he demitted from the Charleston Scottish Rite Bodies and affiliated with the Richmond, VA, Scottish Rite Bodies.  He demitted from the Richmond Scottish Rite Bodies in November 1983 and has been affiliated since with the Knoxville, TN, Scottish Rite Bodies.  He was invested as a 32º Knight Commander of the Court of Honour on October 9, 1995.  On October 5, 2009, he was elected to be coroneted as 33º, Inspector General Honorary.  The 33º, Inspector General Honorary, was conferred in Nashville, TN, on December 12, 2009.    Since 1993, he has been the Knight Commander in the Twenty-Ninth Degree.  He has served as Hamblen County Membership Chairman since 1991.  He is a Past President of the Consistorians.
