A REMINDER:

We pride ourselves in being an informal net, which means we are casual in net procedure. It does not mean we lay aside good amateur radio practice. Please, during the pre-net and the net, let's conduct ourselves as Amateur Radio operators. Operate your station so that if a short-wave listener, a friend, stranger, or a family member hears you, that person will be impressed with Amateur Radio. While the net is in progress do not interrupt without the net controller's permission. To relay a station say "relay" followed by your call sign. To speak directly to another operator say "contact" and wait for permission to speak. The Mississippi Magnolia Net has a long history of good amateur radio practice and procedure. May we continue in this great tradition.

Thank you,

Carl Ballard, K5BBA, Net Manager
